At Personal Health Care we understand that we are only as good as our caregivers. Therefore we place a tremendous amount of time and energy to make sure we hire the right home health aides or nurses. We are constantly improving the hiring process to increase the quality of our caregivers.
All home health aides and nurses are skills tested, background checks are performed on the state level always and federal level when the possibility of working with a pediatric client, and references are checked on a professional and personal level. All applicants go through two interviews, one with the HR Manager and one with a case manager. The home health aides will then meet the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and become Medicare Certified following an interview. After all that is completed the Director will make the final decision on whether someone is to join Personal Health Care’s team.
All home health aides have at least 2 years of experience working in a facility or prior home care experience. We have begun to hire newly licensed nurses a few years ago and have found that given our rigorous hiring standards our clients have been very happy with them.
